In my research about digital storytelling, I found out that extensive preplanning should occur before one starts on constructing a video/movie. Using storyboards or regular pen and paper, one should plot out the story with a script. All of your visual and audio needs should be predetermined and sort into their order of presentation as well. Below are listings of various resources that could get on started on the path of telling one's personal story.

Aja,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the multitude of resources. I honed in on one of your linked articles, "7 Things You Should Know About Digital Storytelling" and wanted to find out if a somebody like me, with limited technical ability, could create digital storytelling. Per the article, "Most digital storytelling programs promote the notion that users with little or no technical background should be able to create digital stories. Indeed, a number of simple applications can get someone started making digital stories, though more complex applications can be used in sophisticated stories. Depending on the elements included in the digital story, a student might need a recording device and microphone, hardware and software to manipulate images and video, or tools to take pictures and video. Some digital storytelling applications are available free online". Thus, it sounds like with a little prep work and some specific tools, I'd be able to create a digital story. Sounds interesting.
